The Commodore Club – North Carolina (Usa)

The space
The Commodore Club is a 6,000 sq. ft., two-story restaurant and members-only social club. A feat of modern architectural design and maritime engineering, this fine dining destination was constructed on a specially built barge, then anchored in place at the Wrightsville Marina on the Intracoastal Waterway in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

The concept
A modern, glass-enclosed building, The Commodore Club is right at home on the water, boasting views of the marina and open sky. Inside, the warm and inviting ambience pays homage to the surrounding sea and maritime architecture of the past, with the use of gentle curves, warm brass, glass, wood, and jewel-toned finishes throughout.

The wallpaper installation
The showpiece of The Commodore Club’s sumptuous cocktail lounge is Jellyfish, the colorful, fantastical graphic portraying the sea creature and fan corals from Instabilelab’s precious collection.
The large-scale graphic is recessed into the ceiling; inset lighting around the perimeter of the installation highlights the dimensionality of the design married with the metallic quality of the Prestige Gold support on which the graphic is printed. Jellyfish provides an elegant, yet playful nod to the nature of the North Carolina coast, and makes a luxurious statement in this exclusive waterside setting.
