Apartment – Trento
A reborn 19th-century house: when history and design meet each other
Some apartments are not just born to be inhabited: they hold memories, atmospheres, identities.
In this 19th-century apartment – located in the heart of a small Trentino village – the restoration project created a refined balance between history and contemporary design. The house was transformed into a place where natural materials, light and customised furniture tell a new story without erasing the old one.
The result is a fluid, harmonious journey. Each room finds its own expression thanks to calibrated material choices and to the poetic use of Instabilelab wallpaper, a key element in defining atmosphere, depth and character.
Entrance: the first welcoming glance
The entrance immediately becomes a stylistic premise: not a simple passage, but a place that welcomes to the entire project’s mood.
The custom-made furniture focuses on visual continuity: the doors coordinated with the wallpaper – without handles – create a continuous wall effect that amplifies the visual harmony of the space.
Odette wallpaper, with its beige tones and delicate floral motifs inspired by lakeside vegetation, envelops the room creating a relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere. The lightness of the design merges with the contemporary style of the furniture, adding a poetic and timeless touch.
A perfect example of how decorative wallpaper can transform a functional room into an aesthetic experience.
Living room: visual continuity and combined materials
The living room, located on the upper floor, is designed as a natural continuation of the entrance. A room where functionality meets aesthetic research.
The TV cabinet – with flap doors – is made of the same material as the kitchen: a common thread that combines the spaces and strengthens the perception of continuity.
This is where Aged wallpaper comes to life; a choice that adds depth and character. Its vintage style, with finely illustrated leaves and an old-fashioned colour palette, creates an aura of nostalgic elegance in the living space.
The backlighting of the open compartment, in a coffee shade, interacts with the natural oak of the shelf and with the warm tones of the kitchen, creating a visual balance that enhances every detail.
The result is a cosy and sophisticated environment, where artistic wallpaper becomes the protagonist without ever overwhelming the whole.

Sleeping area: an oasis of serenity
The sleeping area is designed as an intimate refuge. A place where calm takes shape through soft colours, natural materials and custom-made furniture. In the master bedroom, Lexa wallpaper pays homage to nature: ginkgo biloba leaves – drawn in fine, delicate lines – evoke balance and harmony. Its neutral colours blend perfectly with the style of the room, creating a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere that is ideal for a sleeping area.
The finishing touch is the LED backlighting of the headboard, which creates a visual detachment from the wall and a soft light, perfect for evening hours.
This is a true example of how interior design, lighting and wall decoration can interact in a natural way.

This project revived a 19th-century apartment combining memory and contemporaneity, craftsmanship and technology, functionality and visual poetry.
Instabilelab wallpaper is the common thread of each environment, turning the house into a unique and intimate place, capable of telling a new story without forgetting its roots.
