Residential project in Lucerne (Switzerland)
Tropical enchantment meets the luxury of gold: a sensory retreat by Instabilelab
Some places are not just welcoming, they make us enter another dimension. In this exclusive project, the bathroom area leaves aside its purely technical function to become a true design spa, where the wild nature of the jungle interacts with the textural refinement of precious metal.
The space is a private location near Lucerne, Switzerland: a new building that complements a historic mansion.
The beating heart of the project is Golden Leaf wallpaper, the most iconic and beloved element of the collection dedicated to golden atmospheres, which showcases the richest and most evocative tropical style of the brand’s entire offer.
Once you enter the private wellness area, you can immediately appreciate an aesthetic choice of great impact, with full-height walls that become a backstage animated by giant leaves.
The choice of the Tex Prestige substrate proved crucial to the success of the project. This wall covering is specific for humid environments and does not deteriorate when in contact with steam. Thanks to the integration of gold foil, the graphics never look static but seem to take on a life of their own. The veins of the leaves and the contours of the macro-design react to indoor light, turning into iridescent and luxurious reflections that give an almost three-dimensional depth to the wall.
The analysis of the spaces shows a perfect balance between natural elements and contemporary design.
In the corner dedicated to self-care, a washbasin in solid stone rests on a dark wood shelf, topped by a large backlit circular mirror.
The warm light emanating from the mirror accentuates the texture of Golden Leaf wallpaper, creating a magnetic contrast with the brown tones of the slatted floor and ceiling. Not far away, the bathroom and shower area display the same stylistic coherence, with illuminated niches housing ethnic-inspired sculptures and perfectly connected walls designed to hide functional passages.
The architectural narrative reaches its peak in the area of the matt black freestanding bath, which is strategically positioned in front of a large window with view.
In this area, the golden warmth of the interior shows a beautiful contrast with the natural light and the lakeside landscape, creating a visual short-circuit of rare beauty. Even the flush doors are covered with the same graphics to ensure absolute narrative consistency, transforming the entire room into a continuous plant embrace.
This project demonstrates how wallpaper can become the supporting architectural element of a design, transforming the bathroom environment into a sanctuary of modern luxury and absolute comfort.
