Casa Gessi – New York, 2024

In the heart of SoHo, the cultural, artistic and commercial centre in New York City’s Lower Manhattan, Casa Gessi New York opened its doors on 21 May. An elegant neoclassical building at 214 Lafayette Street where you can find the style and values made in Gessi in the Big Apple.

Instabilelab wallcoverings were chosen both to decorate Casa Gessi Milano during Design Week 2024 and to fit out the exclusive New York showroom. The elegant neoclassical building constructed in 1872 at 214 Lafayette Street features an exposed brick façade and classic architectural details. As with the other Casa Gessi in the world, Gessi chose a location that would contribute to conveying the world values of an Italian company that represents Made in Italy excellence at an international level.

The presentation of the collections highlights the sartorial approach, inviting one to experience the authenticity and excellence of the products at first hand. The space is the culmination of a sensory experience that emphasises Gessi’s craftsmanship, innovation and distinctive design. Attention to detail in the room design and care in the lighting reveal its vision of personal well-being and commitment to creating an unparalleled experience. The soft carpets by Instabilelab complete the customisation project by echoing the graphics chosen for the walls.

An experiential path inside the building, first used as a power station and then converted into a home, where creative people and artists have lived over time, tells the filosofia of the company: five floors to discover Gessi’s creations, the culture of beauty and feeling good about oneself.

Entering Casa Gessi, the journey begins by discovering the most iconic and newest creation of the moment, surrounded by ledwalls that immerse you in an imaginative natural world. The second floor houses the Gessi Boutique, a unique display model inspired by the world of jewellery.

On the third floor, cosy lounges invite guests to stop, take time for themselves and listen to the Gessi story. Fifteen trunks inspired by those of the great journeys of yesteryear, covered with Instabilelab wallpaper, hold the new creations like the most precious of jewels. The Instabilelab carpets customised with the same graphics used on the trunks add value and luxury to the room.

Passing through the fourth floor, where there are offices and meeting rooms, you reach the fifth floor where, in an exclusive, intimate space, like a couturier’s salon, you have all the collections available in different colours and finishes.

A journey, that in Casa Gessi New York, towards beauty, allowing yourself the luxury of time and the privilege of choice.
