THE NEW INDA SHOWROOM. DESIGN BY STUDIO MARCO PIVA

In the historic Porta Romana district, a new layout reinvents the INDA Milan showroom, a project conceived and designed by the renowned Studio Marco Piva. The project focuses on people and the bathroom experience as a place of ritual, a moment of relaxation where the body finds its balance through the surrounding objects.

The architecture of the new INDA Milan showroom has been designed to take visitors on a journey of discovery through the Total Look collections, as well as the personalisation and innovation that have made the brand a leading reference in the sector for designers and end users. From the moment of entry, the layout creates a sense of spaciousness and airiness, enhanced by the brightness of the 13 spectacular full-height windows, which cover a total area of 380 square metres on two levels plus a mezzanine, with 3 meeting rooms in addition to the service areas. The materials used for the doors, the wood panelling, the etched glass and the coloured boxes framing the wallpaper textures, to name but a few, are of the highest quality.

The spaces are organised according to the concept of the BOX, present as a recurring form in the layout and as the defining element of the 8 bathrooms (6 medium-sized in the central gallery and two larger ones in the far corners of the showroom), enhancing the value of the exclusive finishes that have made INDA an established global player. Each BOX, enhanced by Instabilelab wallcovering and by strip leds that always illuminate the display even at night and defined by a specific colour palette, defines a microcosm where furniture, mirrors, lights, shower screens and accessories dialogue in compositions with a neat display.

For each individual box, a graphic from the Instabilelab collection was chosen to characterise and give value to the furniture. Different styles, each with its own character and elegance but always aiming to impress and inspire.

“Wellness is an experience. It is an emotion that combines shapes and colours, the past and the present. It’s a suspended place, a fluid space, the ritual of today and tomorrow,” says Marco Piva. “This is exactly the concept that guided the restyling of the INDA Milan showroom: a ritual that is preserved in every detail, from the grazing lights that frame the different spaces, to the display and modular boxes that are repeated to showcase different types of furniture, to the finishes of the etched materials. The spaces have been rethought to create an immersive experience that accompanies the visitor from one environment to another in a welcoming atmosphere”.
